Wevo is committed to supplying innovative products and services that comply regulations and standards on chemicals and their safe use.

As a formulator, Wevo is mainly a downstream user of chemicals and its products are exempt from the EU’s Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) requirements as well as they do not contain any substance of very high concern (SVHC).

All Wevo products are compliant with the RoHS Directive, which means that the substances restricted by the EU Directive 2002/95/EC and subsequent amendments of the European Parliament are not contained in our finished products above the threshold limits stated.

"Yellow Cards" for specific polyurethane, epoxy and silicone grades are listed at Underwriters Laboratories (UL) under the Wevo file number E108835. The UL Yellow Card displays key data based on testing, burning and ignition characteristics according to UL Standards, e.g. UL94 Flammability Classification.

Wevo’s polyurethane materials achieve high RTI values of 155° C., which means that their specific properties are not unacceptably compromised up to this maximum and permanent service temperature.

Wevo materials display highly favorable Hot Wire Ignition (HWI) and High Amperage Arc Ignition (HAI) ignition values according to UL Standards.

Various Wevo resins have ExPlast explosion protection certificates in line with corresponding EU Directive.

The long-term thermal performance of Wevo systems meets the prevailing DIN EN 60216-1 standard.

To harmonize the quality standards for the materials used in rail vehicles across Europe, DIN EN 45545-2 was officially introduced on April 1, 2016 and Wevo has developed fit-to-purpose solutions with casting insulating materials.
